It is with deep sadness in our hearts that we inform you of the sudden death of our CEO & Founder, Anton Paardekooper, who passed away on December 27th 2022. 

We are still in disbelief as we have now lost not only the heart and brain of our company, but also a deeply respected colleague, a dear friend and above all an amazing human being. Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to all of his family and friends, who will miss his truly endearing, optimistic and enthusiastic approach to life.
 
Anton has been growing BBBLS since joining the company in 2012, stepping up as CEO in 2014. For over 9 years his knowledge, perseverance and warm personality have been essential to the success of BBBLS. Being an Engineer at heart, Anton continued to love working on the further development and improvement of our greenhouse technology. And we loved working with him, as he was able to motivate and inspire each and every one of us on a daily basis.
 
With Anton’s passing now comes our time for accepting reality and grieving the loss of our dear friend, mentor and CEO. As a company, we would very much like to continue Anton’s legacy with your support. Menko Deroos, Advisory Board member, has been appointed as interim CEO.
 

We already miss you Anton, and will do our best to nurture and grow the seeds that you have planted.
