Lindum Pilot Results

The results of the Lindum pilot will be presented at, proof of re-use of organic waste into new food!

Energy consumption

We have measured insulation of the soap bubble layer; the heat transfer coefficient for a BBBLS greenhouse is 6 to 10 time better (see table below).  These measurements have been verified by Poznan University of Life Sciences. In moderate climate zones, this will result in 80% energy savings. In the graph below natural gas consumption per m2 is calculated per month and compared against a traditional greenhouse:

According to the agroeconomic institute LEI of Wageningen University, energy is 25% of operational costs for commercial growers. Customers can reduce their costs with 20% and increase their profitabilty.

On top of this the bubble layer can be switched off to capture solar energy and stored the energy in a heat sink. Because temperature is controlled better, less ventilation is required and higher CO2 levels can be achieved and maintained.

The bubble layer is also used as screen against light pollution during assimilition lighting at night
